You might not like the sound of it but slow IT costs money. And the root of all slowness is that infamous and pesky computer. While computing devices make business happen, they can also be remarkably frustrating when they don’t work the way that you want them to.

Waiting for a reboot or a page to load can feel like an eternity. In reality, it’s usually only a few seconds. The thing is that those seconds become minutes and minutes turn into hours.

A recent survey showed that 89% of employees are unable to work as quickly as they would like because of slow computers or technology. The same report concludes that almost one-quarter of employees waste between three and six hours each week because of issues with technology, including snail-like computers.

A study by the Chelsea Apps Factory showed that 60% of employees stated that their IT was hindering their performance at work. 45% said that their home computers were more effective than those at work.

The Office of National Statistics estimates the cost of one slow PC to a business is £3,657 over the course of a year. That’s about 3 to 4 times the cost of buying a brand spanking new device. Multiply £3,657 by many users and then by several years and your business has lost a lot of money because of slow IT.

Think on this: accessing the right technology means an increase in productivity, happy employees and less wasted time. All that equates to much more money for your business.

Don’t delay. Rid yourself of your archaic tech. Slow computers have even more hidden costs in the long run. Upgrade now. You’ll be making an excellent investment in IT for the future.
