WGS Solicitors is a legal firm based in Paddington, London. Their services cover many specialist areas including property, litigation, and commercial & employment matters.

WGS reflects London’s role as a world city and offers legal advice to both local and international clients. For example, their property team buy properties for clients from abroad, while their commercial and litigation lawyers are engaged in advising clients from around the world on UK and international legal issues.

CHALLENGE

WGS had a case database management system that was poorly maintained and was nearing end-of-life. The configuration of the system was convoluted and difficult to navigate.

Zhero created a bespoke data management system for WGS and migrated all data from the existing one to the new one.

WGS enjoys a state-of-the-art case management system with a high level of functionality that is easy to navigate.

THE IT CHALLENGE
WGS was using a very old application to store data about their clients such as case files, box numbers and file numbers. The database was near retirement and maintenance was almost non-existent. Data on the platform was not easy to read and the system was difficult to navigate, especially for new users. Reports were also complex and the system in general was limited. All the client data had to be migrated to a new application. This was challenging due to the quantity of data involved.
WHAT ZHERO DID
Zhero developed a bespoke automated database for WGS and then exported all client data, including contacts and addresses to this. Client information was presented in a much more accessible and readable way. New cases and new contacts were easy to create with information all in one place.

The significantly improved functionality and usability of the new application saved time, streamlining the data management process for WGS.
