HR OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

An IT Company based in Century City, Cape Town is currently looking to employ an HR Officer/Office Support who will be responsible for managing every aspect of basic HR including the employment process, orientation, and training of staff members. The role also includes elements of office management.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Employee Assistance

  • Addressing all HR-related issues & problems of staff
  • Assisting Managers with staff-related issues in their departments
  • Ensure implementation of systems, policies, and procedures within the HR department
Recruitment and Selection

  • Ensuring that the complete Recruitment Process is completed effectively
  • Onboarding and Orientation are done correctly
Training & Skills Planning

  • Oversee Staff Training requirements
  • Assist Managers and Departments in the roll-out of training requirements
Performance Management

  • Ensure that Probationary Reviews and Annual Evaluations are effectively done
  • Managing under or poor performance
Labour Relations

  • Involved in Disciplinary Processes and Counselling Sessions
  • Recording and evaluating Disciplinary Proceedings
  • Involved with requirements relating to CCMA and IR
Absenteeism Management

  • Dealing with Absenteeism Reports and Analysis
  • Manage Incapacity arising from Illness
  • Manage Clock-Ins & late-coming
Organizational Responsibilities

  • Oversee Health & Safety issues and compliance
  • Assist in coordinating Staff development & Staff Functions
  • General Housekeeping of office and premises
  • Assisting the accounts department with administrative tasks
  • Payroll process
Required Experience and Qualities  
  • Completed tertiary qualification focusing on Human Resources or similar
  • Minimum 5 years experience in HR preferred
  • Labour and Health & Safety experience beneficial
  • Experience in the IT Industry beneficial
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
Experience

  • Administrative office procedures, practices and equipment: 5 years (Preferred)

  • Market-related, depending on experience
Ability to commute/relocate

  • Century City, Western Cape: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
