With phones now so big, it’s next to impossible to send that text while holding an umbrella when it’s raining out.
What you need is a Phonebrella, an umbrella with a round C-shaped handle that sits on your wrist and frees both of your hands to text to your heart’s content.
Designed by South Korea’s KT, the country’s second-largest mobile carrier, the Phonebrella is one of those products that’s so simple you wonder why it took so long for someone to come up with it. Of course, you could always just get a smaller phone that you can use with one hand (remember those days?)
The Phonebrella won a Red Dot Design Award for “Best of the Best” product design, according to The Korea Times.
The product is a concept design and although the concept video shows the umbrella in five different colors, there’s no word on if it will ever be produced and how much it will cost.
