Microsoft has added the peer-to-peer (P2P) option to system update the new leaked version of Windows 10 technical preview.
After all these years Microsoft seems to really understand its users, or maybe it’s more about the one million feedback suggestions that windows 10 technical preview has received. Microsoft is changing lots of basic UI features and the new update option is one of those changes.
This technology added to the update options enables you to update your windows using an already updated windows system in the local network, so you are sharing your update files semi-automatically.
This can be really useful, especially to business usage of windows where there are lots of windows systems, so after updating one device’s OS the rest won’t have to download all that again, the updated operating system will share the updated files and simply saves several gigabytes band wide of the internet, plus, it’s much faster for those who do not have a fast connection since it’s on the local network and it can be as fast as your LAN lets the system to be.
This new feature also gives you the option to download the updates from PCs on the internet, local network and from the traditional Windows Update servers.
