We are an established international Business cybersecurity & IT support provider and looking for a Senior IT engineer & team coordinator/Team Lead/Technical installation engineer for our implementations department Cape Town office
Job Description:
- Day to day high level support and coordination of installation and team players (remote)
- Experienced in new system installations & upgrades (desktop, network, Server) and define of a technical plan
- Communication with clients coordination and completion of installs on time and agreed scope
- Previous coordination/team lead & implementations experience will be advantageous
- Ensure that team is on track with weekly goals and tasks
- Host weekly and where relevant internal meetings to plan for weekly goals and measurables
Requirements:
Strong Knowledge of:
- Windows 7,8,10 and MAC OS
- Systems upgrade/support SQL, Exchange 2003-2016, Windows Server 2003 – 2019
- O365 Configuration, Autopilot, MDM Setup and configuration, Maintenance (Azure, Exchange, SharePoint)
- Experience with Scripting and automation in SolarWinds will be advantageous
- Experience with Mimecast will be advantageous
- VMware, Hyper V, Terminal Server, SQL server, Windows Server, AD, DHCP, Group Policies, SAN and NAS storage
- Cisco ASA Firewall, Routers (NAT, PAT) & Switches (Vlan, VPN), System Monitoring, SNMP
- Advanced knowledge of routing and switching / VLAN configurations
- Speaking Afrikaans would be an advantage
Must have:
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter and driven towards excellence
- Able to work under pressure
- Low maintenance personality
- Able to hit the ground running
- 8+ years solid IT experience
- IT Degree and IT certified (either or all – Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Checkpoint, and Citrix)
- Excellent communicator with a proven track record
- Ongoing collaboration with team members to improve on current systems and processes
